Iris and Durant | Shenandoah Engagement Session

They decided to tie the knot at the beautiful Shenandoah National Park but Covid had other plans. Their officiant wasn’t able to join us but instead of cancelling, we hiked up to Stony Man Summit for a sunrise engagement session.

Iris and Durant met in Asia while both were traveling for work. Despite their busy careers they found time to discover beautiful places together and make memories that will last forever.

After a gift exchange at the mountain top, we headed down to cozy up back at the cabin and drink some hot coffee.

Even tho is was mid summer, a thick fog covered the whole trail and extremely wild winds blew for the entire morning. We were soaked by the top of the mountain mist instantly.

Nevertheless Iris and Durant hugged tight and enjoyed their destination engagement session like no others. The weather complemented with a dramatic vibe as we made our way through the mountain top and its wooden trail.

This sessions reminded me life doesn’t necessarily follow plans but the secret to happiness is to embrace and make the most of every single moment. Iris and Durant inspire me with their love and resilience and I can’t wait to meet them again.
